Mosman Swans player, umpire and volunteer Auskick coach loves AFL and her club

JUNIOR Sports Star Young Sporting Spirit nominee Anna Sinclair enjoys playing AFL and volunteering for her club the Mosman Swans.

WHETHER she’s playing, coaching or umpiring, Mosman Swans member Anna Sinclair always shows her passion for her club and love of AFL.

The 16-year-old is this week’s Junior Sports Star nominee in the Young Sporting Spirit category.

Anna is a member of the Swans’ under-18 girls’ team, an umpire and her club’s youngest volunteer Auskick coach.

She also won a premiership as part of the Swans’ under-14 girls’ team.

Anna first kicked a Sherrin in Year 6, but her dedication to AFL really started in Year 8 when a friend invited her to training.

“I just joined the team and have loved it ever since,” she said.

Anna also gets a kick out of coaching her club’s youngest members through Auskick, where she has been a weekly volunteer for about two years.

“It’s really fun being around the kind of community that enjoys football — you’re surrounded by like-minded people,” she said.

Swans president Justin Dethridge said Anna was known for her “trademark smile”.
