A young man from Manly is devastated after his wallet with an irreplaceable photo of him with his grandfather was stolen.
Jake Monk, 20, was working a shift at a restaurant on Belgrave St last week when it was taken.
“I left it on the front bench inside the restaurant and someone walking past has leaned over and grabbed it,” he said.
Once stolen, $2000 was allegedly spent on one of his cards.
Police have since caught the person responsible, however when police found and searched the offender he no longer had the wallet on him.
Mr Monk said he does not care about the money or cards that were stolen, he just wants the wallet back.
“There’s a photo in there that’s irreplaceable – it’s a photo of my and my grandpa when I was little,” he said.
Mr Monk is offering a cash reward for anyone who finds his wallet.
It is a black leather wallet with no zipper or coin section.
