A total of 617,965 people came forward to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in the past week across NSW — as a massive 463,000 people received their second dose of the vaccine.
It comes as more than 95 per cent Hills, Hawkesbury and Blacktown residents recieved their first doses of the Covid vaccine, while the Richmond - Tweed region has the lowest first-dose uptake at 80.2 per cent.
Operation Covid Shield data, released by Federal Health, has revealed the growing number of people protected by at least one jab of available vaccines in your community.
The latest information on the Federal Government vaccine rollout the Operation Covid Shield comes as NewsLocal can reveal the rates of Covid-19 vaccination in every local area across NSW – as well as all the places you can get vaccinated and how many active cases are in your community as part of a daily Covid-19 briefing for your suburb.
The Federal Government’s newly-released vaccination data, in comparison to Australian Bureau of Statistics’ regional statistical area information, updated in 2019, has been used to determine the percentage of residents in your area vaccinated for Covid-19.
The Ministry of Health has also updated the number of Covid-19 vaccine clinics available to the public across the state, with 3686 jab hubs in NSW to date, as the number of active cases continues to drop from a high of 25,690 last month to 8,553active cases of Covid-19 recorded across the state this week — Scroll down to see the interactive map of cases in your suburb.
Meanwhile, the suburb of Bankstown has been revealed as the community with the highest number of vaccine clinics across the state, with 39 hubs open to the public, while Liverpool comes in second with 38 hubs. In Sydney there are 34 clinics open to the public, followed by Hornsby with 30, Wagga Wagga with 30, Port Macquarie with 85, Blacktown and Lakemba with 25, and Campbelltown with 24.
Suburbs including Wollongong and Cabramatta have 22 clinics open to the public, while Carlingford has 21, Parramatta has 20, while Merrylands, Castle Hill, Dubbo and Orange all have 19 clinics open to the public.
In Fairfield, Bondi Junction, Coffs Harbour and Eastwood have 17 clinics each.
In Penrith, Mosman and Hurstville there are 16 clinics each.

SYDNEY’S WEST
The western Sydney region of Blacktown has seen an estimated 276,982 residents are now protected with at least one jab of a Covid-19 vaccine currently available to the public.
Meanwhile, a further 220,711 people have been vaccinated with two doses of the Covid-19 jab.
The Blacktown statistical region includes the Blacktown City local government area. Major suburban centres include Blacktown, Schofields, Rooty Hill and Huntingwood. The Blacktown LGA has 765 active cases of Covid.
Meanwhile, in Parramatta, 362,526 people were administered their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, an increase of 7,679 in the past week.
Approximately 275,633 people have been vaccinated with two doses.
The Parramatta statistical region centres on the City of Parramatta and Cumberland local government areas, with major suburban centres including Parramatta, Westmead, Lidcombe, Pendle Hill and Carlingford. The region has 757 active cases.
In Sydney’s Outer West and Blue Mountains regions, around 238,811 people have been vaccinated with their first jab, an increase of 6,779 from last week.
A total of 181,976 people have received both their vaccinations since March.
The Outer West and Blue Mountains statistical region includes the Penrith and Blue Mountains local government areas. Major suburban centres include Penrith, Richmond and Katoomba. The region has 406 active cases.
SYDNEY’S SOUTHWEST
An extra 8,714 people received their first jab in the last week in Sydney’s Inner South West regions, with a total of 444,897 residents now partially vaccinated
A massive 341,873 people have received both their first and second doses of the vaccine throughout the region.
The Inner South West statistical region incorporates parts of Bayside Council – specifically the former Rockdale Council region – along with Georges River and Canterbury Bankstown. The major suburban centres include Brighton-Le-Sands, Rockdale, Kogarah, Hurstville, Kingsgrove, Canterbury and Bankstown. The region has 1251 active cases.
In Sydney’s South West, the total number of people with their first jab of the vaccine has risen to 329,876 this week, an increase of 7,906.
It comes as 253,336 people are fully vaccinated from Covid across the region.
The South West statistical region incorporates Liverpool and Fairfield councils, including major town centres such as Liverpool, Casula, Fairfield, Cabramatta and Smithfield. There are 984 active cases across the region.
Meanwhile, in the city’s Outer South West, a total of 211,186 people have received their first jab of the vaccine — an increase of 4,948 in the last week.
Around 163,731 people have had both dosages of the Covid-19 vaccine in the region.
The Outer South West statistical region incorporates the Campbelltown, Camden and Wollondilly areas, with major suburban centres including Campbelltown, Camden, Narellan and Picton. There are 619 active cases across the region.
SYDNEY’S INNER SUBURBS
The Sydney City and Inner South regions have seen 245,648 people given their first dose of the vaccine, an increase of 6,333 in the last week.
While a total of 205,318 people have received their first and second doses.
The City and Inner South statistical region incorporates an eastern portion of the Inner West local government area, the City of Sydney local government area and the eastern half of Bayside – or the former Botany Council area. The major suburban centres include Sydney’s CBD, Marrickville, Newtown, Alexandria, Mascot and Botany.
They have 410 active Covid cases.
Meanwhile, 4,019 people were vaccinated in the city’s Eastern Suburbs in the last week, witha total of 203,208 people now received their first Covid-19 jab.
A total of 169,299 people have received both jabs in the fight against Covid-19.
The Eastern Suburbs statistical region incorporates the Woollahra, Waverley and Randwick local government areas, with major suburban centres including Vaucluse, Bondi, Coogee, Randwick and Maroubra.
They currently have 256 active cases.
In Sydney’s Inner West, 234,317 people have been vaccinated with their first dose, up 4,395 in the last week.
Around 192,288 people have been vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine.
The Inner West statistical region incorporates all of the Inner West local government area except a slice on the eastern border along with Burwood, Canada Bay and Strathfield LGAs. The major suburban centres include Balmain, Leichhardt, Ashfield, Burwood, Strathfield and Homebush.
There are 138 active cases in the region.
SYDNEY’S NORTH
In Sydney’s northwest regions of Baulkham Hills and Hawkesbury, 189,740 have received their first jab of the Covid vaccine.
Meanwhile, a total of 164,774 people have been fully vaccinated.
The Baulkham Hills and Hawkesbury statistical region incorporates the Hills Shire and Hawkesbury local government areas. Major suburban centres include Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills and Windsor.
There are 120 active cases across the region.
In the North Sydney and Hornsby regions a massive 331,664 people have been vaccinated with their first dose of the Covid jab, up 6,849 from last week.
Meanwhile, around 280,833 people have got their double dose of the vaccine.
The North Sydney and Hornsby statistical region incorporates the North Sydney, Willoughby, Kuring-gai Hornsby local government areas, with major suburban centres including North Sydney, Chatswood, Willoughby and Hornsby. There are 110 active cases across the region.
Sydney’s Northern Beaches has seen 204,642 people now vaccinated with their first dose of the Covid jab, an increase of 4,425 in the last week.
A total of 168,802 people have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 across the region.
The Northern Beaches statistical region centres on the Northern Beaches Council and Kuring-gai area. The major suburban centres include Manly, Brookvale, Frenchs Forest, Terrey Hills, Narrabeen and Avalon. There are 148 active cases on the Northern Beaches.
In Ryde, 154,641 people are vaccinated with their first dose, in increase of 3,406 recorded last week.
It comes as a further 127,562 people are fully vaccinated with both doses of the jab.
The Ryde statistical region includes the Hunters Hill and Ryde local government areas, as well as a small section of Hornsby Council’s area. Major suburban centres include Gladesville, Ryde, Macquarie Park and Epping. There are 46 active cases.
SYDNEY’S SOUTH
The southern Sydney community of Sutherland has seen 175,066 people protected with their first dose of the Covid vaccine, an increase of 3,919 on last week’s total.
Meanwhile, 145,204 people have been fully vaccinated across the community.
The Sutherland statistical region centres on the Sutherland Shire local government area, with major suburban centres including Cronulla, Miranda, Sutherland and Engadine. There are 93 active cases.
NORTHERN NSW
On the state’s Central Coast, 252,407 people have been vaccinated against Covid. The partially vaccinated rate increased by 11,181 in the last week.
A total of 182,248 are fully vaccinated with both Covid jabs.
The Central Coast statistical region centres on the Central Coast local government area, with town centres including Gosford, Erina, Woy Woy and The Entrance. There are 349 active cases in the region.
In the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions around 273,847 people have received one dose of the vaccine, up in the past week by 15,834.
Meanwhile, 186,601 people are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 with both jabs.
The Newcastle and Lake Macquarie statistical region covers the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie council areas, including the major town centres of Newcastle, Belmont and Morisset.
The number of active cases in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie is 362.
In the Hunter Valley a total of 196,335 have received one dose of the Covid vaccine. The total number has increase in the past week by 13,864.
Meanwhile, 124,555 people are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Hunter Valley (excluding Newcastle) statistical region incorporates Port Stephens, Muswellbrook, Dungog, Singleton, Cessnock and Maitland local government areas. There are 298 active cases across the Hunter region.
Meanwhile, in the New England and North West a total of 127,857 people have been vaccinated with their first dose. The total first dose recipients increased by 8,244 in the last week.
A total of 83,789 are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the community.
The New England and North West statistical region incorporates the Tamworth, Armidale, Moree Plains Shire and Tenterfield local government areas. There are 12 active cases of Covid-19 in New England and North West.
On the state’s Mid North Coast around 163,710 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19. In the last week there was an increase on 8,158 first-dose recipients reported.
Meanwhile, 109,016 people are fully vaccinated.
The Mid North Coast statistical region centres on the MidCoast Council, Port Macquarie Hastings and Kempsey local government areas, with major town centres including Port Macquarie, Taree and Forster. There are 23 active cases of Covid-19 in the Mid-North Coast region.
In Coffs Harbour and Grafton a total of 97,642 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19. An increase of 6,284 doses administered in the last week.
Meanwhile, a total of 59,819 people are fully vaccinated against the virus.
The Coffs Harbour and Grafton statistical region incorporates the Coffs Harbour and Clarence Valley local government areas, including town centres such as Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Bellingen, Grafton and Yamba. There are five active cases in Coffs Harbour and Grafton.
While in Richmond and Tweed a total of 136,341 people are vaccinated with a single dose, an increase of 10,422 in the last week.
A further 105,695 people are fully-vaccinated across the region.
The Richmond and Tweed statistical region incorporates the Lismore, Ballina, Byron, Richmond Valley and Tweed Shire local government areas, with major town centres including Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay, Casino, Murwilumbah and Tweed Heads. There are 31 active cases of Covid-19 in Richmond and Tweed.
SOUTHERN NSW
In the Illawarra, a total of 226,579 people have been vaccinated with their first dose against Covid, up by 11,831 in the last week.
Meanwhile, a total of 164,855 are fully vaccinated against the virus.
The Illawarra statistical region includes the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama local government areas, with major town centres including Wollongong, Thirroul, Port Kembla, Shellharbour, Kiama and Gerringong. The Illawarra region has 661 active cases.
In the Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven a total of 120,445 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19, an increase of 6,619 in the last week.
Meanwhile, a total of 87,868 people are fully vaccinated against the virus. The Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven region incorporates the Wingecarribee and Shoalhaven local government areas. The major town centres include Bowral, Mittagong, Berry, Nowra, Huskisson and Ulladulla. There are currently 126 Covid-19 cases in the region.
In the Capital region a total of 173,221 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19, increased of 9,603 in the last week.
Meanwhile, a total of 120,878 people are fully vaccinated against the virus. The Capital statistical region incorporates Queanbeyan-Palerang, Goulburn Mulwaree, Yass Valley, Eurobodalla, Hilltops, Snowy-Monaro, Upper Lachlan Shire, and small parts of the Shoalhaven, Snowy Valleys, and Wingecarribee council areas. The Capital region currently has 194 active Covid-19 cases.
In the state’s Murray region around 85,642 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19, an increase of 4,998 in the last week.
Meanwhile, 57,225 people are fully vaccinated.
The Murray statistical region incorporates the Murray River and Edwards River council areas, with major town centres including Deniliquin and Hay. The Murray region has two active cases of Covid-19.
In the Riverina around 112,999 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19, an increase of 6,708 reported last week.
Meanwhile,77,526 people are fully vaccinated.
The Riverina statistical region incorporates the Wagga Wagga, Albury, Leeton and Griffith local government areas. The Riverina currently has five active cases of Covid-19.
ACT
In Canberra, a total of 324,261 people have received their first dose of the Covid vaccine, an increase of 44,893 in the last week.
Meanwhile, a massive 231,714 have already been vaccinated with two doses across the Australian Capital Territory.
There are 384 active cases of Covid-19 in the ACT.
WESTERN NSW
NSW’s Central West around 155,879 people are partially vaccinated against Covid-19, an increase of 4,264 in the last week.
Meanwhile, 115,801 people are fully vaccinated.
The Central West statistical region incorporates the Bathurst, Orange and Cabonne local government areas. There are 58 active cases in the state’s west.
Meanwhile, in the Far West and Orana regions a total of 84,538 people have been vaccinated with their first dose, an increase of 1,854 in the last week.
A total of 66,185 people are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in the community. The Far West and Orana statistical region incorporates the Broken Hill, Bourke and Orana local government areas, including the major town centre of Dubbo. There are 251 active Covid-19 cases in the state’s Far West.
