New data has confirmed Sydney’s most exclusive postcodes are awash with cocaine, along with a handful of idyllic regional beachside towns across NSW.

Figures from the Bureau of Crime Statistics reveal where cocaine dealers plied their trade across NSW between March 2019 and March 2020.

The Sydney CBD late night hotspot had the most cocaine charges of any postcode across NSW, with 116 in the year to March 2020.

The number of cocaine charges laid on offenders in Sydney’s most famous beachside suburb increased by a whopping 300 per cent from the year before, with police catching 103 dealers in Bondi.

Surry Hills, Bateau Bay, Potts Point, Byron Bay, Paddington, Wollongong, Camden and Gosford rounded out the top 10 postcodes with the most cocaine charges across NSW.

A Sydney property developer and socialite has been sentenced to at least five years behind bars after he was caught attempting to smuggle cocaine worth $80 million into Australia in an elaborate police sting.

Matthew Doyle pleaded guilty to large commercial drug supply after he attempted to import a massive amount of cocaine – which never actually existed as part of the police operation.

The court heard Doyle handed over $500,000 in two money drops prior to his arrest in a bid to secure the cocaine shipment.

An international flight attendant and model was leading a secret life as a cocaine dealer in Sydney’s glitzy eastern suburbs.

Police found Rachel Chami, 26, with 18.5g of cocaine worth an estimated $5000 in the driver’s footwell of her car in Double Bay in November 2018.

Chami pleaded guilty to prohibited drug supply and was sentenced to a 10-month intensive corrections order.

Ex-Newcastle Knights captain Jarrod Mullen tragically fell from grace when a drug ban prompted his downward spiral into drug use.

The former NSW representative player received a four-year bam from the NRL in 2017 after e tested positive for steroids.

Police subsequently caught him dealing more than $10,000 of cocaine in February 2019 in an attempt to finance his own tragic drug habit.

Mullen pleaded guilty to drug supply and was sentenced to a two-year community corrections order at Wollongong Local Court.

A young woman pretended to be a sex worker when police caught her in the middle of a cocaine deal near Bondi Beach.

Glamorous motorbike enthusiast Sonja Christian, 25, initially told officers who swooped on her Honda Civic that a male customer was in her car because she was a sex worker.

However, the story fell apart when the police search uncovered cocaine with a combined street value of more than $10,000 and Christian subsequently pleaded guilty to drug supply.

She was sentenced to a 12-month intensive corrections order.
