The 31-year-old had been charged with the manslaughter of her boyfriend, accused of breaking into his southern Sydney home and attacking him in May.
When police arrived at the Brighton-Le-Sands home they were unable to revive Mr Caetano, who had suffered fatal injuries to his head and face.
Ms Walker was arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter (domestic violence) and aggravated enter dwelling with intent.
Her matter was heard at Downing Centre Court on Tuesday where the charges were withdrawn.
A spokeswoman from the Director of Public Prosecutions said Ms Walker did not actually cause the death.
“The charges in the matter of Walker were withdrawn in the Local Court yesterday. Post mortem examinations showed that the death of the deceased was not caused by Ms Walker,” she said.
She said no further comment would be issued.
