Sophie Monk’s dad has given his tick of approval to his daughter’s new boyfriend.

Previously unlucky in love, Monk last week revealed she is already talking marriage with new partner Joshua Gross.

“He is a really nice chap, a nice person, very kind and we get on very well,” Andrew Monk told Confidential as the pair made their way up the red carpet at the 2018 ARIA Awards at The Star.

“I am very grateful for that.”

Clearly proud of his radio and TV host daughter, he wore a T-shirt with the name Mr Monk emblazoned on it.

Monk’s love woes have been well documented over the years, most recently as she starred on The Bachelorette last year when she chose now ex Stu Laundy as her forever man.

She met Gross on a flight from Europe and the two instantly hit it off.

They’ve been together for several months but have done their best to keep it out of the spotlight.

The couple are doing the long distance thing with Gross based in the US.

“I think talking about it has taken the pressure off so we can go out and do what we want when he flies in to Australia,” she said.
