With Oscar winner wife Nicole Kidman by his side, Keith Urban was playing it by ear as he readied himself to host the 2018 ARIA Awards.
“I don’t really have a clue, just suit up and show up, it is the Aussie way right,” Urban said when asked how he had prepared for the night, adding that he “knows a lot of them. It has been an amazing year.”

The superstar power couple brought niece Lucia as their date for the night.
Kidman was wearing an Oscar de la Renta outfit.
“My 20-year-old niece picked this,” Kidman said. “She said, ‘you are wearing that’.”
But it was all about the music at the Australian industry’s biggest night of the year as stars made their way up the red carpet at The Star.
Kidman and Urban revealed they are massive fans of multiple nominee Troye Sivan, whom she is currently sharing the big screen with in critically acclaimed feature film Boy Erased.
“I have gotten to know him and he truly has such a good heart and I love Bloom (Sivan’s album), I think it is a fantastic album and he is such a talent,” she said.
“Troye and I have been trying to get the word out to try and get people to see it (Boy Erased) because it really connects when people see it. It is always so hard these days to get people into the cinema.”
Russell Crowe also stars in the film, which was directed and written by Joel Edgerton, about a young man sent to be cured at a gay conversion therapy program.
“Joel is a genius; he wrote and directed, starred and produced that film.”
