Karl Stefanovic’s wedding photos could fetch more than $150,000
Karl Stefanovic’s wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough has been labelled as “entertainment story of the year” — and paparazzi are preparing to head to Mexico to find the best spot for photos. One insider revealed how much the pictures could go for.
Not since former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall exchanged vows in the “wedding of the universe” in 2013 has there been so much hype surrounding an Australian celebrity wedding.
When Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough tie the knot in Mexico on December 8, images of their big day are expecting to sell for more than $150,000.
However Stefanovic’s camp have warned anyone wanting to cash in they turn up at their own peril.

“Mexican security guards have been briefed,” an insider told Sunday Confidential.
“The resort will be in lockdown and if anyone who has reserved a room at the venue is seen with a camera in their hand, they will be booted out.
“And they won’t be able to hire helicopters in Cabo, there’s only one and it’s for the local police. We are all over that.”
However despite the warning, local and international photographers and journalists have their tickets booked to cover the “entertainment story of the year”.
“This is a huge story,” a gossip magazine editor told Sunday Confidential.
“These two have featured in the papers and magazines every single week since news of their romance broke.
“The paps have made the most money this year from Karl and Jasmine, without a shadow of doubt. For example the set of photos taken when Jasmine picked Karl up from the airport in LA sold for $50,000, so you can only imagine what these wedding pics will go for.”
Hawkins’ Bali wedding was nabbed by New Idea which secured the rights for a rumoured $350,000, while one savvy paparazzo who hired a helicopter to “spoil” the wedding is thought to have made $50,000.
Local and international paparazzi are expecting to achieve a similar payday, however being in Mexico will present all kinds of challenges.
“I think the Aussie paps might underestimate the situation,” an overseas-based paparazzo who will make the journey to Mexico, said.
“This is Mexico. This is a country where there are no rules. Security could get pretty intense. “Anyone who gets caught trespassing for example, anything could happen. Normal rules or laws don’t apply. They won’t just get in trouble with the local police, but the Mexican federal police.
“Also, the Aussie guys also need to be mindful of the Mexican paps. Cabo is a hot spot for A-listers. So the paps who work there know Cabo inside and out. They know who cleans the room, who does the gardens. They can get fed information for a small amount of money.”
