Model Kris Smith on the importance of helping charities

Just four weeks away from the birth of his second child, his first with girlfriend Saral Boulzaeris, says it’s one of “the most rewarding things you will ever do”.

Just four weeks away from the birth of his second child, his first with girlfriendSarah Boulazeris, the 40-year-old who is already father to eight-year-old Ethan with Dannii Minogue, says it is “the most beautiful rewarding thing you will ever do”.

“The nursery is done, everything is organised, I am as ready as I will ever be,” Smith, a Fashion + Aid ambassador said.

“But Sarah is over it, she is ready to meet the little one, so am I.”

When asked whether he would do anything differ­ently the second time around, Smith said he would try to be more patient.

Smith already has one child with singer and TV host Dannii Minogue.

“Ethan is an incredible boy and so caring and considerate and kind,” he said.

“He is a beautiful boy. I look at him at times ands think how the hell are you mine.

“There’s certain things you would potentially do differently, maybe a little bit more patience.

“It makes you slow down.”

Smith, who is an ambassador for Movember, said having children made him realise the importance of lending time and money to charity.

“I have Ethan who is eight and a second one on the way and I have worked with countless charities, but there is never enough you can possibly do,” said Smith, who will also host a Fashion + Aid fundraising event tomorrow.

“Everything amp­lifies when you have your own ­children.”
