“I do understand that it can be hard to separate yourself sometimes from your father and carve out your own niche, but I am my father’s daughter and I am in the position that I am today because of him and I can’t neglect that,” she told Confidential.

“He has opened doors for me but I am the one that has to deliver and work hard for it. I’m very lucky that he is my father and I would never put that down.”

Perdis, who bases herself in Greece with her family, returned to Australia to open last week’s prestigious Fashion Laureate Awards.

The family are quickly becoming Australia’s answers to the Kardashians. But despite their jetsetting and lavish lifestyle, Perdis insists they are just a regular family.

“My dad seems like a really out there person but he’s very conservative, it’s not even funny,” she said.

“We have very traditional family values.”
