THE life of a model is not always glitz and glamour. After closing the show for Christopher Esber in her appearance at Australia Fashion Week in May, make-up heiress Lianna Perdis has returned to Greece for her Year 11 exams.
“The good thing about the 24-hour travel back to Europe is that there was plenty of time to study,” Perdis told Confidential, whose first exam was modern Greek literature.
The 17-year-old said when she’s home, she’s like any normal schoolkid who is “always late” for the school bus and loves hanging with friends. “I feel so lucky that I can have the best of both worlds at 17. I get to have the glitz and glamour of the beauty world but still get to have somewhat a normal upbringing,” she said.
Despite her career as a model taking off, and landing her the cover of magazines, Perdis’ father, colourful make-up king Napoleon Perdis, believes it’s important his daughter complete her education.
“I have always said I will support the girls in whatever they may end up doing but they must complete their studies,” he said.
