FORMER Miss Universe Tegan Martin has a high-profile athlete boyfriend — but it’s understood she’s in talks to star in the next season of popular TV dating show The Bachelorette.
And while Martin’s representative Benji Hart said she was still “very much in love” with Croke and would not be appearing on The Bachelorette, sources claim she is keen on the role.
Production company Shine has started casting for the third season and sources close to the blonde bikini babe say Martin would be up for following in the footsteps of Georgia Love and Sam Frost on the reality dating show.
A Network Ten Spokesperson said: “Australia’s next Bachelorette has not yet been chosen, and casting is currently underway. We look forward to announcing her identity to the public later this year.”
The only issue is the 24-year-old has been dating rugby union player Sam Croke — who she recently labelled “the jealous type” — since mid-last year.

She was previously in a long-term relationship with tradie Angus Hood but they split in 2015. Martin, who grew up in Newcastle, recently told her I’m A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! campmates she wasn’t sure Croke was “the one”.
A Ten spokeswoman said The Bachelorette casting process was yet to be finalised.
