A popular Theebine cattle breeder remains in a stable condition after suffering multiple injuries, including broken ribs, when he was trampled by a bull on his property on Monday morning.
Rockstar Brahman founder Stuart Vollmerhausen was flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in the wake of the incident, which happened at his farm about 35km northwest of Gympie about 8.15am.
A source at the township with knowledge of the incident said Mr Vollmerhausen suffered broken ribs and a “bad” knee injury in the incident.

He was “kicked in the eye” by the bull but luckily did not suffer any damage to his head.
His recovery “will take a long time”, they said.

A SCUH spokeswoman said as of Wednesday Mr Vollmerhausen remained in a stable condition.
Mr Vollmerhausen and his wife Lynda built the Rockstar Brahman’s brand from the ground up.
Rockstar cattle regularly fetch prices of more than $15,000, including recorded sales of $28,000 in 2021 and $20,500 in 2017.
