Women suffer spinal injuries in New Year’s Eve rollover on K’gari
Two women have been flown off K’gari with spinal injuries after a shocking vehicle rollover at the northern tip of the island on New Year’s Eve.

Two women have been flown off K’gari after a vehicle rolled at Sandy Cape at the northern tip of the island about 6.13pm on New Year’s Eve.
Both women were suffering spinal injuries, according to a spokesperson from the Queensland Ambulance Service, and were flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital following the incident.
One stable male patient was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital by road ambulance for treatment.
The crash was the latest in a spate of emergency incidents at the popular tourist island off the Fraser Coast.
On December 22 a boy suffered scratches and bruising when a dingo lunged at him while he was knee-boarding at Eurong.
On Boxing Day a man was flown from Coongul Creek campgrounds after suffering burns from radiator fluid.
On December 28, emergency crews were called back to the island after a jet skier was thrown from his machine after striking a wave.
