Brett David Eddy has been charged with manslaughter in relation to the death of Tash Raven

Police have revealed in court the next steps for investigators leading the probe into the alleged manslaughter of a much-loved Hervey Bay mum who died in a hit and run.

A man charged with manslaughter after an alleged hit and run that claimed the life of a mother has had his matter briefly mentioned in court.

Brett David Eddy, 41, did not appear when the matters were mentioned before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Hervey Bay’s Tash Raven, 43, was walking home from a night out on May 25 when she was allegedly struck by a driver on Boundary Rd in Urangan.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she died at the scene.

Mr Eddy faced court charged with manslaughter, dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving of a motor vehicle without a driver’s licence and driver fail to exhibit proper respect to deceased showing callous disregard for the needs of a person.

The court heard a brief of evidence was being put together.

The case was adjourned until October 3 and no pleas have been entered.
