Police swarm scene of sudden death in car in Maryborough street

More details have emerged following the shock discovery of a body in a car in a suburban Fraser Coast street. TRIGGER WARNING.

A Maryborough man in his 30s has been revealed as the person found dead in his car on a city street early Sunday afternoon.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service confirmed Sunday there had been a sudden death in John St.

The death was believed to be non-suspicious, a she said.

She said a post-mortem would be done to determine the exact cause of death.

A witness to the scene said several officers were at the scene along with a car with a sheet over it.

Before that, two ambulances were at the scene and paramedics were seen attending to the man prior to the arrival of police, a neighbouring couple said.

“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the non-suspicious death of a man in Maryborough today,” the police spokeswoman said.
