Jarrod James Delower in court on robbery, domestic violence charges

A young Bundaberg man facing 23 serious charges in a Bundaberg court will have his matters moved as some are indictable.

What happens when you are charged with a crime?

A young Bundaberg man has been accused of a string of serious offences, including multiple assaults, choking, and robbery with violence while armed in company with wounding and personal violence.

Jarrod James Delower is facing 23 charges, including entering a dwelling with intent by break at night while armed in company, two counts of driving while disqualified, stealing, wilful damage, and failing to remain in a place.

He faces five charges of assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence) and two of choking/suffocation/strangulation in domestic relationship (domestic violence offence).

Mr Delower, who appeared from custody via videolink, is also charged with driving a car without ever having held a licence, two counts of fraud, possessing a dangerous drug, unlawful use of motor vehicle and two counts of wilful damage (domestic violence offence).

On Monday, June 13, Bundaberg Magistrates Court heard that some charges would have to be heard in a higher court, while others could be heard in Ipswich due to the alleged offences being carried out in that region.

Mr Delower’s next mention will be in Ipswich Magistrates Court on July 1.

He was remanded in custody to that date.
