Sinma Laksa House

Asian$$

With views of a giant roundabout and advertisements for a local driving school accompanying the menus, Sinma is no glamour spot. Instead of frills, you get such delights as a solid har mee (a prawn noodle soup, thick with chicken, pork, boiled egg and other goodies); rich laksa lemak; or a perfectly moist Hainanese chicken. Those with a more adventurous bent can try the turnip cake (warning: not an actual cake) or one of the selections from the bain marie. While the house specials featuring crab bust the Under $30 budget, they are well worth attacking as a group treat.
