Mad Spuds
British
The humble tater takes centre stage at this cheerful cafe where a King Edward's guard of Mr. Potato Heads watches over happy diners. Baked Southern Highland spuds are the order of the day, such as the rustically comforting 'Boston' served with spicy beans, chutney and creamy red Leicester cheese. Black pudding nestled in twice-cooked potato skins with aged cheddar and drunken apple relish is more than a little Anglo-inspired, and vegos have a bevy of options like a textured brown rice and feta salad with sunflower seeds, roasted carrots, pumpkin and spinach. Extra kudos, too, for the seasonal Double Roasters coffee.
