We can see the future. Lebanon and Beyond will go beyond Randwick, taking over every shopfront from Alison Road to the sea. They've already colonised three, and such is the lack of good Lebanese food in the eastern suburbs that there are queues for tables and long waits for home deliveries. No wonder those already in the cosy dining rooms look smug as cheery waiters bring fragrant, green-hearted felafel, fluffy, garlicky toum for skewered chicken and tahini for grilled lamb kofta. The menu is huge, but we can't go beyond the tabbouleh: fresh, bright, green and lemony, and the perfect partner for it all.
