With a wall proudly displaying last year’s ‘one schooner’ rating, we were hoping the Elanora would be able to maintain the standard; when the salt-and-pepper squid with Thai salad comes out aren’t disappointed. The service is friendly and lightning fast, and mains of pork cutlets and surf-and-turf are both tender and so artfully presented they wouldn’t be out of place in a fine diner. Leave room for dessert: the chai tea panna cotta is a must. What looks like a standard pub outside houses an outstanding and innovative chef.
