Bandung Rasa
Indonesian
A calm oasis on a busy street, this smart little restaurant offers authentic Indonesian food with a modern edge. Start with siu mai, fragrant steamed dim sims made with mince, fish and prawn paste; and tahu goreng, light and melty fried tempeh. For mains, fill up on luscious rendang - beef cooked for hours in coconut milk, chilli and spices - and gado gado - a crunchy mini mountain of cabbage, water spinach, bean sprouts, potato, egg and peanut sauce. Do respect the sambal - it’s one hot chilli relish - and cool the tongue with aromatic dessert drinks mixing coconut, rosewater, milk and jelly.
