'Organic' is written on the menu 44 times and 'biodynamic' appears seven times at this rustic, pleasantly ramshackle cafe built around a splendid gumtree rising from the patio. The few non-organic ingredients still follow an ethical food philosophy. Smoked salmon is from wild, not farmed, fish. The highlight of the green curry, using chemical-free chicken and biodynamic rice (which tastes like any other rice) is the use of whole star anise. Chilli beans pack a colourful and spicy punch, with coriander and corn. Fluffy, fruit-packed date scones are lovely and might come dolloped with cream of the conventional variety.
