Washington | Donald Trump has ordered his trade advisers to come up with “reciprocal” tariffs on US trade partners in retaliation against taxes and other measures, sparking fresh concerns Australia may be in the firing line.
The president said the new tariffs would be designed to target unfair behaviour by trading partners who apply higher tariffs to specific American goods than the United States applies to the same products from those countries.
