Washington | At a Macy’s store three blocks from the White House the first signs of weakness in America’s until-now resilient economy are starting to show.
The department store chain last week announced 2300 job cuts, or about 3.5 per cent of its total headcount. The iconic chain is also closing five stores across the country.
