Workers brought a record number of claims before the workplace tribunal last financial year, driven by greater awareness of their rights and the heightened hardship of losing one’s job during a bout of high inflation.

The data comes months after the Albanese government passed its third tranche of workplace laws, but refers to the financial year before many of these changes, including the right to disconnect, came into effect.
