Unlikely double act to take on Setka

Attorney-General Christian Porter and unionist Tony Maher are working to curb the influence of John Setka, giving some extra colour to the government's modest workplace reform package.

Talk about win-win. The implosion within Australia’s most powerful union has landed in Christian Porter’s lap, giving him the chance to revitalise a very limited industrial relations reform agenda this week.

The Attorney-General can now boast of a significance advance by becoming midwife to the break-up of the massive Construction Forestry Maritime, Mining and Energy Union.
