A sacked senior CFMEU leader has launched a High Court challenge to the Albanese government’s laws that forced the construction division into administration and ousted 270 officials, vowing to keep up the fight for years.
Former CFMEU national president and Queensland assistant secretary Jade Ingham said on Tuesday that new legislation underpinning the takeover of the law-breaking construction union by an administrator was “unconstitutional and undemocratic”.
