Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke has circulated a draft of the “right to disconnect” amendment to key crossbenchers to pass into law next week, but is facing pressure from business groups to release it publicly.

Crossbench senators David Pocock and Jacqui Lambie on Wednesday received confidential copies of the proposed legislation, which Labor agreed to as part of its deal with the Greens when it pushed through the first half of the government’s industrial relations changes last year.
