Wharfies are set to escalate industrial action at Sydney's already gridlocked port this week in a major dispute that is threatening supply chains with weeks of delays and disruption.

The Maritime Union of Australia will hit DP World's Port Botany terminal with a four-hour stoppage on Friday followed by two weeks of go-slows alongside existing overtime and upgrade bans at Patrick and Hutchison.
