Burger chain underpays staff $1m

Japanese burger chain Mos Burger has backpaid hundreds of workers $1.1 million after underpaying them across all its outlets in Queensland.

The fast-food company was caught paying 285 workers unlawfully low flat rates at its six restaurants from 2011 to 2018, with no casual loading, evening rates, weekend or public holiday rates or laundry allowances.
