The workplace watchdog is investigating allegations that former CFMEU NSW leader Darren Greenfield obstructed the union’s administration by secretly spying on organisers and staff at the branch offices.

The Fair Work Commission confirmed on Thursday it had started a formal investigation into a former CFMEU NSW official over allegations he accessed live CCTV footage from inside the union’s offices to monitor staff.
