Four-day week comes to the finance industry

Financial services firm Insignia has agreed to let employees work four days a week in a trial that would be the first of its type for the industry, which is notorious for its long and demanding hours.
The deal struck with the Finance Sector Union covering 4000 Insignia staff does not specify the shape of the four-day trial – such as if it’s a compressed five-day week or reduced hours on the same pay.
