Enterprise bargaining tweaks unlikely to spark more deals: retailers

Small business retailers, including independent supermarkets like IGA and SPAR stores, are unlikely to return to collective agreements under the Albanese government’s laws to simplify enterprise bargaining, according to employer groups.

While big business has largely welcomed the government’s proposed simplification of the so-called better off overall test for enterprise agreements and scrapping of bargaining red tape, some small businesses say the reforms are still too onerous.
