CFMEU pushes the limits for former street gang member, cage fighter
The CFMEU will push the limits of the Fair Work Act’s “fit and proper” person test to get a former member of a notorious Middle-Eastern street gang access to work sites despite multiple assault convictions.
The construction union’s West Australian branch has applied for a federal right of entry permit for organiser Edmond “Monty” Margjini, a former cage fighter involved with Perth’s Sword Boys gang in the 2000s who has been photographed with senior union officials and new premier Roger Cook.
