Burke to push ahead on ‘more controversial’ IR laws
The Albanese government will push ahead with its second tranche of workplace reforms in the latter half of this year, including pay rules for the gig economy and labour hire. However, it has all but ruled out bringing back bargaining fees for non-union members.
Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke told the National Press Club on Wednesday that he would personally kick-start consultation with unions and employers on the government’s “more controversial” workplace changes from next Wednesday.
