Westpac's wealth management arm left a manager no choice but to quit by failing to do enough to stop him working 70 hours a week, the workplace tribunal has found.

The Fair Work Commission ordered BT to pay its former business development manager $45,990 in compensation for constructive dismissal in a rare case that addresses excessive hours worked by professionals.
