ANZ sets target of employees spending half their time in the office

ANZ has set a target for staff to spend half of their time in the office because it says “high-performing teams need regular in-person contact with each other”.

Kathryn van der Merwe, the bank’s group executive of talent and culture and service centres, said in an email to all global staff on Thursday that the bank recognised the benefits of remote work but some activities were best done together in one location.
