US election: AFR's Greyhound journey into an emotional and divided America

Just like millions of his fellow Americans, businessman Saul Cimbler is deeply disturbed by the rancorous United States presidential election campaigns.

We're talking on an unusually warm autumn afternoon as we share an Uber ride through Washington DC's notorious traffic. I'm on my way to catch a Greyhound bus all the way to Florida, a journey in which I hope to tap the psyche of America. Cimbler, who we picked up from the recently reopened Cuban Embassy, is about to fly home to Miami where he helps American investors do business in Cuba.
