When Richard Harris stepped off the plane in Thailand in July to help rescue the Wild Boars soccer team, he put the odds of survival at zero.
The Adelaide anaesthetist had been asked to help rescue the 12 boys and their soccer coach trapped in the Tham Luang caves but the risks were so high the doctor and his diving companion Craig Challen were granted diplomatic immunity.
