The year 2010 was a turning point in Lucio Di Bartolomeo’s career. Elected president of the Australian Industry Group, he began an association with politicians that would lead him on to multiple government-business boards, culminating nine years later as Australia Post chairman.

He would also oversee, as a director, Downer EDI’s attempts to fix a disastrous contract to build trains for the NSW government.
