The current bout of share price volatility could entice more investors into private markets, says Yasser el-Ansary, chief executive of the Australian Investment Council.
Mr El-Ansary said private equity investments were viewed as a haven during sharemarket turbulence because managers of private companies did not have to waste time dwelling on the share price and could instead focus on the business.
