Curtis Stone, the celebrity chef, cookbook writer and ambassador for Coles, opened his first restaurant in Beverley Hills in Los Angeles in 2014. It was a runaway success.

Two years later, Stone and his brother Luke opened a sister eatery in Hollywood. The early signs were good – but then they weren’t.
