University reforms get thumbs up from teals, Nationals

Nationals MP Darren Chester and a long list of independents have given Jason Clare the thumbs up for his ambitious higher education reforms, saying its multigenerational approach is the right one for the national economy.
The universities accord’s central ambition is to double the number of students to 1.8 million by 2050, with enrolment numbers not expected to start ramping up until the mid-2030s.
