Sydney University will expand its ban on campus encampments to include protests inside buildings and abolish a tradition of allowing students or staff to make political statements before lectures and tutorials.
A report commissioned by the university following a two-month pro-Palestine encampment, when it was accused of failing to adequately address antisemitism, found that despite dozens of relevant policies and procedures the university was left lacking.
