New Year’s Day will activate a range of Labor’s cost-of-living relief measures that will inject extra cash into voters’ pockets before the 2025 election.

In a bid to reverse anger in the electorate about the prolonged cost-of-living crunch caused by high interest rates and rising prices, Labor policies helping welfare recipients, some care workers, students and household healthcare budgets will kick in on January 1.
