IDP Education dives on fears international students will stay away
The country’s largest listed provider of international education services says restrictions on student numbers in Australia and other key markets will have a profound impact on its business, cutting the size of the market by up to a quarter in the next year.
IDP Education told investors it would cut costs – with earnings expected to drop by almost a third in this half – in response to more restrictive immigration and visa policies in Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom.
