Early in life, Telstra Health chief executive Elizabeth Koff was told she was too nice to become a business leader.

“I never thought I’d be doing something like this in a million years. A couple of times I was told that I never had enough of the mongrel in me to be a leader because I was too nice, but you can’t adapt the way you are,” she says.
