The latest consumer price index monthly indicator, released at the start of March, provides some scope for optimism that inflation may have peaked.
The inflation indicator showed a 7.4 per cent increase over the year to January 31, 2023. While still high, this was down from the 8.4 per cent annual rise recorded in the previous month.
