Higher interest rates aren’t going anywhere any time soon, but according to Australia’s money managers, opportunities abound in fixed interest, gold, high-yield debt and small caps.

The question of how high interest rates will go and how long they’ll stay there is dominating investment conversations, but Peter Edwards, executive chair of private family office Victor Smorgon Group, believes there is conjecture on the idea of interest rates being higher for longer.
